Please join us next Saturday, November 5,
at 2:30 p.m. for my Barbecue Lamb Supreme class.
I don’t think most westerners associate barbecued lamb with Thailand. Everybody knows about Phad Thai Noodles, Spring Rolls and other familiar dishes. Maybe that’s why my Thai Classic Favourites class is so popular. It includes just about all the dishes that have made Thailand famous.
But Muslims make up a large proportion of the Thai population and Muslims do not eat pork, a popular
meat among Buddhists. However, Muslims do eat lamb and mutton. And their recipes for both are wonderful, as I learned in several trips to the South of Thailand, where the Muslim population is large.
So this class is my tribute to Thai Muslims and their great contribution to Thai culture. It is also one of my Premium classes and — at $70 plus GST — costs slightly more than my regular classes to cover the costs of the more expensive ingredients.
But, believe me, it's worth it! I hope to see you on Saturday!
