Come to a Thai Picnic class next Tuesday!

We dedicated this class to the monks with whom we shared a wonderful picnic lunch many years ago in Thailand. We hope you will enjoy it as much as we did!
 

Please join us next Tuesday, October 18, at 6:30 p.m. For our “Thai Picnic Favourites” class.This class features many of the Thai dishes that are most popular in Thailand — with Thais! 

Barbecue Chicken is probably the best example of this. Everywhere you travel throughout rural areas of Thailand you will find roadside BBQ Chicken stands along the road.

In northern Thailand, Sticky Rice is probably more popular than ordinary rice. That’s because it is used as a finger food. First, you make a little shape of rice in your hand and then you use that to scoop up the food available.

That might include a pinch of Papaya Salad. Or you might scoop up some of the Sweet and Sour Ground Pork with Shrimp that smells so tasty. The point here is that you build up a much more personal relationship with food when you pick it up with your fingers.

And it’s lots more fun than the ordinary way of eating! But that will be all up to 

you if you choose to join us next Tuesday at 6:30 p.m.
