HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Hi everybody,

Sorry we haven't been back to you for a while.

We had a very busy Holiday Season this year and needed a few days of rest at the end of a wonderful year.

2022 was wonderful for many reasons but, for us, the most important milestone to celebrate was that we had survived the pandemic and come back strongly!

But we could not have done it on our own! It was wonderful to see so many of our old students again after such a long time away. And what a treat to meet new students! Thanks so much to all of you for helping us to get back on our feet and enjoy our classes together once more!

Seniors Only Classes were Big Hit in 2022

My new "Senior's Only" classes were the highlight of 2022 and will be coming up again soon — but with a different menu!

I think these two classes in the Fall of last year were my greatest achievement of the year. Well, again, not just MY achievement. 

We brought in some expert consultants including Marion Hutchinson for advice. Marion kept urging us to steer clear of the word “mixer” for the seniors classes. Seniors want most to meet and make new friends, she advised, not necessarily start a new romance.

We took Marion’s advice and both Fall classes were packed. Yet another  reasons they were so popular was because of the new menu I created. And one of the most popular items was the dish below:

Seniors Most Popular Dish in 2022

There were lots of "Ooo's" and "Ahhh's" for my new Royal Crimson Chicken dish last November. That usually means success!

Delicious New Dish for Seniors in 2023

The strongest challenger for my most popular Seniors dish is my Black Cilantro  Ribs in my two "Seniors Only" classes coming up soon.

There are only two of these classes so please get in touch ASAP if you'd like to come. We will host them on Sunday, January 29 and Sunday February 5 at 2:30 p.m. each time. The January 29 class is nearly full but February 5 still has room for several more.

Oh, and by the way, if some of you are jealous because you have not yet aged enough to enjoy these classes, take heart! Sooner or later the dishes in these classes will also show up on my regular menu.

 Black Cilantro Ribs will be on the menu this Winter and I'm sure will be a favourite!

Classes Quickly Filling Up for Winter Months

We shall be hosting 16 public classes during January and February this year. Of these, 11 are now completely full. Below are the classes that still have openings:

Jan 22: Thai Classic Favourites: 1 seat

Feb 4: Samui Seafood Festival: 3 places

Feb 11: Spicy Southern Delicacies: 4 places

Feb 25: Curry Class One: 4 places

Feb 26: Drunken Noodles: 3 places
