Hi everybody
Ginger is one of my longtime favourites of all the plants and vegetables in the world! In fact, my only regret about living full-time in Canada is that I can no longer enjoy the full variety of ginger flavours and textures offered in the vegetable markets of Thailand.
You see, in Thailand I can buy young ginger, which has a gentle flavour and can be delicately
sliced or julienned to jazz up salads, relishes, and stir-fries. Or, I can buy more mature ginger, with its bold taste, which I can grate or pound into pastes that transform curries, marinades, and dipping sauces. By carefully inspecting the ginger on sale, I can judge just how “mature” the ginger might be.
And let's not forget the humble pickled ginger, a sweet and tangy delight that refreshes the palette and complements richer flavours!
In any case, I’m
really proud to include this new menu with Ginger as the highlighter in the menu name! Let's see how we pull the signature dish, Ginger Beef and Friends, together for an amazing plateful of great Thai food.
