You must understand that all Thai people are obsessed by food!

It’s true, we all love our national food with a passion and we take great pride in the recipes we create or modify in our own homes. 
 

Even our Thai greeting, ‘kin khao reu yang?’ translates as 'Have you eaten yet?” This phrase is a polite way of asking, “How are you?
 

So, it’s no surprise that we celebrate food with FOOD FESTIVALS all over the country at various different times of the year. These festivals come and go. Some repeat, some do not, so I thought I’d check out the most recent online. Make sure you also check out the latest online dates if you want to time a visit with a festival.

Anyway, here are a few choices. The first looks to be a fantastic no-brainer! This festival runs for nine days at a temple just outside of Bangkok and it looks like a amazing  experience.  I hope the dates this year will match our dates for another exploration of Bangkok Thai Street Food during our vacation in January and February next year!

Bangkok is an amazing city that goes on forever. When I lived there many years ago, I was never be able to discover ALL the streets of this great city and the zillions of little neighbourhoods that buzz with people, food stands, motorcycles, and three-wheel Tuk Tuk taxis. Phuket Vegetarian Festival

Every year, the island of Phuket hosts an incredible Vegetarian festival. Phuket is Thailand’s largest island, located in southern Thailand. It’s also famous for its beautiful beaches, old towns and friendly people. It's a great place to relax and refresh for a few weeks when you crave for a bodily and  spiritual reboot. But, if you do, just don't forget the vegetarian festival!

Finally, you might want to check out this Festival In the city where we found the dishes for our Chiang Mai Street Food class.
