Hi Everybody,
Those of you who follow this newsletter may recall the story of me and several nuns on the road in January this year to track down a great restaurant. It was a trip that lasted nearly two hours.
As I mentioned then, Thai people really love food and the happy company of friends and family to share great food together.
This week, I’d like to
share with you our visit to a Bangkok Food Fair, on the outskirts of the great city. It is called the “Save One Go Market” and is located close to the old Don Muang Airport, beneath one of Bangkok's freeways. Again, our trip to find the fair lasted quite a while, through the usual Bangkok traffic madness. We are grateful to our friends, Na, Nik and Node, who drove us to the Fair on a hot evening in February. The place was packed with hungry
people, all eager to explore dozens of food stalls and vendors.
Although I grew up in Thailand and visit my old home pretty regularly, I was still amazed with the variety of food on offer at the fair. Here are some of them.
