Sawadee Ka!
I am back from my two-month trip to Thailand and ready to get back into my kitchen and tackle a new Spring public class season. Wow! It was so hot in Bangkok— more than 90 degrees Fahrenheit — that I really appreciated good old Vancouver Island when we returned to Canada. My kitchen might be the hottest place in our house here, but in Thailand the hottest place is
outside!
Anyway, the news today is that there are still places available for my all-time, most popular class, Thai Classic Favourites, coming up this Saturday at 2:30 p.m.. This is the class that has everything Westerners love about Thai food, made the old-fashioned Thai way that I learned from my grandmother.
When I teach these "Classics," I am showing you the real secrets—the ones I learned back home. We aren't just making food; we are
making sure it tastes exactly right, with the perfect balance of sour, sweet, and salty. You know I don’t like to waste anything, so I will show you how to use every bit of your ingredients to make a feast that looks like it belongs in a five-star hotel but fits a sensible budget.
Here's what is on the menu for next Saturday!
