Local Halibut Featured at Tuesday Class, April 12
Hi everybody,

There’s still time to book your place for Lesson Nine, “Chao Phraya Riverfront Prawns and Fish Feed,” at Kallayanee’s Kitchen on Tuesday, April 12, starting at 6:30 p.m.

The class is named after the great Chao Phraya river, which flows through Bangkok, and helps to feed the city with a great bounty of fish and seafood.

Some of the happiest memories of my life are of enjoying food with friends in little outdoor restaurants on the waterfront. And some of those memories have inspired the dishes you will learn in this class.

At this hands-on and demonstration cooking class, you’ll learn how to prepare the menu below:

Tiger Prawn Curry is a hot and spicy dish with a tempting array of flavours.
CHAO PHRAYA RIVERFRONT PRAWNS AND FISH FEED

Tiger Prawn Curry
Take fresh prawns and combine with red curry, coconut milk and lime juice for this tasty dish.

Hot & Spicy Soup
Mussels, clams, squid and prawns simmered in spicy juices make this a memorable dish.

Fish in Spicy Coconut Cream
Fresh from the sea, halibut or cod, gently simmered in a broth of Thai spices and coconut milk.

Asparagus Salad
A surprising combination of flavours lifts asparagus and bean sprouts to a new taste sensation.

Thai Red Hot Chicken Wings
The perfect dish for guests on a cold winter night, these wings are as hot as you want them!

As always, cost is only $55 per student, plus GST.
