Thai Sweet and Sour Spareribs highlight Tuesday menu
Hi everybody,

If you love ribs, you won’t want to miss Lesson Two, “Sweet & Sour Spareribs and Chicken Satay Banquet,” at Kallayanee’s Kitchen on Tuesday, September 20, starting at 6:30 p.m.

You’ll learn how to make — and enjoy — slow-simmered ribs baked in a flavourful mixture of ground fresh ginger, Sriricha chili sauce, chopped garlic and other Thai herbs and spices.

These are sweet and sour ribs as you’ve never experienced them before!

But there’s lots more on the menu Tuesday that you’re sure to enjoy. At this hands-on and demonstration cooking class, you’ll also learn how to prepare the menu below:

Tom Yum Kung
A delicious hot and sour prawn soup simmered in lemon grass, lemon and lime juice.

Fried Rice with Shrimp
A favourite item with just about any meal, this fried rice dish goes great with seafood soup.

Green Beans with Sesame Oil and Garlic
Spiced with Thai chili sauce, these beans pop off the plate with mouth-watering flavour.

Chicken Satay
Barbecued to a golden brown and served with Peanut Sauce, these are a sure party favourite.

As usual, classes are held in my home at 1455 McTavish Road, in North Saanich. Cost is only $55 per student, plus GST.

Classes tend to fill up early, so book now to avoid disappointment!
