A Journey Down the Mekong — Next Tuesday!
Hi everybody,

Well, we're approaching the end of another Spring Season of Kallayanee's Kitchen again.
I've had a wonderful time meeting so many new people and connecting again with old friends and customers! Thanks to everyone for making this such a great experience.

But there's a couple of classes to go yet — so there's still more fun to come!

One Tuesday, April 18, starting at 6:30 p.m., I'll be hosting one of my favourite classes: Lesson Ten, “A Journey Down The Mekong River.”

This is a very special menu, featuring chicken prepared the old-fashioned Thai way, marinated in sesame oil and other spices and deep-fried in a pandan leaf wrap. You'll find variations of this recipe, Thai Leaf-Wrapped Chicken, in Bangkok's fancy Oriental Hotel.

Also on the menu is Tiger Prawn Salad with Snow Peas, a delicious seafood feast including jumbo prawns tossed into a fresh salad chock-full of crisp snow peas.

Thai Leaf-Wrapped Chicken is a unique dish with great visual appeal.
Here’s what else is on the menu:

Mekong Salad Rolls
These unusual rolls, packed with shrimp, fresh mint and pork, come from the Mekong river region.

Barbecued Pork
Pork marinated in honey and soy sauce is gently simmered over a barbecue at low heat.

Chicken Noodle Soup
A gentle, lightly-seasoned soup made for simple enjoyment and pleasure.

As always, cost is only $55 per student, plus GST.

Classes tend to fill up early, so book now to avoid disappointment by replying to this email. You can also book through us by calling 250-656-1227.

You can also book the class through the Panorama Recreation Centre online or by calling the Rec Centre at 250-656-7271

Hope to see you soon!
