Classic Japanese Sushi Lesson on for Saturday
Hi everybody,

We have a very special class coming up — and the day is tomorrow at 2:30 p.m.!

Uta Bryce, my wonderful Sous-Chef who has faithfully served me for years, has finally agreed to teach a Japanese Sushi lesson. Uta was born and raised in Japan and is a great cook.

I apologize for the short notice but this class came about in a very odd way.
We had an email a day ago from a Mom who wanted to give her daughter a Sushi lesson for her birthday. She wondered if we knew anyone who could offer such a class.
Well, Sushi is not Thai cuisine, of course. But we thought Uta could fill the bill perfectly and the Mom agreed. Long story short, we organized a Sushi class for Saturday at 2:30 p.m. And we’re looking for some Sushi fans to fill out the class.

It certainly is a new start for Kallayanee’s Kitchen! Anyway, here’s what’s on the menu for Saturday:

Miso Soup
Japan’s classic soup and a great comfort food anytime.

Sushi Rolls
Made with very high-quality raw tuna and smoked tuna, they are sure to please.

California Rolls
Probably the most popular type of Sushi ever invented, Saturday’s class will feature high-quality local smoked salmon.

Vegetarian Rolls
Nothing but vegetables. Nothing more to say.

Agar Fruit Salad Dessert
Agar is used as an ingredient in desserts throughout Asia and can also be used as a laxative, a vegetarian substitute for gelatin, and a thickener for soups. That said, this dessert is great as a summertime treat — and it’s to die for!

There are only a few places available for Saturday’s class so please contact us ASAP if you’d like to book a spot for yourself. We are expecting fairly high demand, so first come will be first served.

The fish used for this class will only be of the very highest quality  — and expensive. So, our price will be $60 per person, plus GST.

Hope to see you at the first Sushi class ever hosted by Kallayanee's Kitchen!

Sincerely,
Kallayanee
