My New Vegetarian Four Class opens next Saturday

Hi everybody,
As most of you know by now, my husband, Ry, and I spent three months in Thailand last December through February.
It was a wonderful experience, especially for me, as I had more time to spend with friends and family. I also enjoyed spending more time in
my old village, Banmooltun, and meeting many of the villagers again after many years apart.
But, as usual, these trips to Thailand have a business side as well. This time, I was exploring restaurants, shops, and outdoor food stalls for the very best vegetarian recipes I could find. And, wow, did I find some great treats to share with you!
I have included the top picks in my Vegetarian Lesson Four and Vegetarian
Lesson Five classes coming up in July.
First up is Vegetarian Lesson Four, Veggy Comfy Food Favourites, next Saturday, March 14, at 2:30 p.m. And here’s what’s on the menu!
KHON KAEN NOODLE SOUP
Daikon radish, chillies and lime juice highlight the flavours in this tasty soup, named after one of Thailand’s northern cities.
EIGHT SPICES PUFFED TOFU
Juniper and Star Aniseed are just two of many surprises in this lively mixture of herbs and spices.
TANGY TOFU GINGER SNAPS
It’s the red chillies that make the ginger snap in this toothsome, textured tofu dish.
SPICY TOFU OMELETTE
Three fresh eggs and gently puffed tofu are the secret to this delicious egg dish.
THAI MIXED VEGETABLE WRAP
A tantalizing mixture of sliced taro and shiatsu mushrooms in a flavourable bean curd wrap, gently deep fried.
PUMPKIN CUSTARD DESSERT
Pumpkin pulp is mixed with eggs, palm sugar, and coconut milk, topped with vanilla ice cream.

Our
prices are still $57.75 per person, including GST. In the fall, however, we shall be raising our prices for regular classes to $63, including GST, our first price increase since we began business more than 10 years ago.
