There is no Fall in Thailand, believe it or not!

Yes, it's true. We just have rainy and hot seasons in Thailand. And because of that, many people seem to think I must HATE the Fall in North Saanich.

Not at all true! I love the Fall, with its bright, sparkling clear skies and the fiery colours of dying leaves. But, most importantly, many of the local crops are being harvested!

Now’s the time to pick up some local corn and pumpkins from one of the many farm vendors at the side of the road.

You just won’t want to miss Corn Fritters prepared with local corn, Thai-style! Or local pumpkins doing their very special Thai bit for my sumptuous Pumpkin Custard dessert. It's all happening on Tuesday, October 16, at 2:30 p.m.

And curry lovers have a special reason not to miss this class! Just check out the first item on Tuesday's menu below.

Crab meat served with creamy, authentic Thai yellow curry paste.

Deep fried local corn nestled in a tasty batter and served with sweet vinegar sauce — crunchy and delightful!

Stir-fried with black bean sauce and spiced with chili garlic sauce. A Thai delight!

Served on a half pineapple, a delicious mixture of rice, prawns and cashew nuts, topped off with roasted coconut flakes.

Pumpkin pulp is mixed with eggs, palm sugar, and coconut milk, topped with vanilla ice cream.
