Hi everybody,
Well, all good things come to an end and my 2018 Fall Season is no exception. After my class next Tuesday, I shall not be offering public classes until my new Spring Season opens on March 19, 2019.
However, don’t despair! If you need a Thai food “fix” before then, I shall be open for private classes throughout the winter months. You only need a minimum of six people to organize a private class and still enjoy our standard rate of $60 per person, plus GST.
Also, if you’re still wondering what to give that special person for Christmas, don’t forget that we also offer gift certificates. They cost no more than our regular classes and they are a perfect gift! You can order yours today.
For more information on either private classes or gift certificates, please call me or respond to this email.
Anyway, we still have one last class to go — Flavours of the Floating Market — and it includes some wonderful dishes! The headline dish is “Daikon Fritters with Bacon Appetizers.” This recipe has an interesting background, as it was given to me by a very dear friend in Thailand, who now lives as a Buddhist nun.
Before she became a nun, my friend worked as a cook in a Hong Kong restaurant and it was there that she created this very special dish. It quickly became a major hit in the restaurant.
She is still very proud of this dish and I am honoured that she shared it with me. You’ll love this unusual combination of daikon radish and bacon. It’s far from ordinary Thai food!
There are lots of other great recipes on Tuesday’s menu. Here they are:
