It’s funny where you sometimes find things.
Ry and I have travelled throughout Thailand during our many years together. We’ve been to many exotic locations and seen sights that are never seen by tourists. We’ve eaten in expensive restaurants and from roadside noodle stands.
We’re always on the lookout for new and interesting menu items that we can share with people back home. And many of these we have already shared with you.
Many of the recipes in this class were found in our travels along the Mekong River in Thailand and Laos — hence the name of the class. “A Journey Down the Mekong.”
But we found one of the recipes for this class in a very surprising location — on the very doorstep of my old neighbourhood, Lardgabang, just outside Bangkok. We were staying with friends and made some new friends across the street.
